  • 3 cups 720 ml Earl Grey black tea, brewed, chilled
  • ½ cup 70 g raw almonds
  • 1 slice 6 g fresh ginger root, about 1"

Directions

    1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
    2. Run the Hot Soup Program or start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.  Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds.

Chef's Note

For a deeper purple color in this beverage, use red beets, or for a more neutral color, use golden beets. Earl Grey's earthiness goes very well with the flavor of beets, but other liquids may be used if desired.
